FUNKE AKINDELE TO STAR IN AVENGERS : INFINITY WAR MOVIE
I heard it, you heard it, and im sure we all had the same reactions.
Suprisingly it turns out google wasn’t wrong,Popular Nollywood Yoruba actress Funke Akindele also known as ‘Jenifa’ is confirmed by reliable movie source website ‘’IMBD” as part of the cast of Infinity war movie directed by Anthony and Joe Russo..
She is starring as a member of the “Dora milaje”, a team of women who serve as bodyguards to the spiritual leader of wakanda, or in this case the most critically acclaimed kitty in Marvel history “Black Panther” and yes, her code name is No.70 -_- [she couldn’t be number one ni?].
Known for her flawless performance in popular Nigerian-Comedy-drama “Jenifa”, a movie released in 2008, followed by a sequel in 2012 and a spin off television series in 2014, She seeks to add yet another successful movie to her 10 foot long cv [I hope].
Fans speculate this may be marvels attempt to pronounce [Lagos], I mean, produce a semantically sound continent crossover [Lagos] without stepping on any pre-drawn speech lines [it is not Lahgoos ooo]. De-facto Comic terrorist organizations warn that a second failure will bring about syntactically grave consequences.
We can only hope that her appearance is not just another brief cameo meant to draw in the crowd after their temporary success with Ragnarok but that she makes meaningful and hopefully long contributions to the movie or else!
